Bass Bugs & Brews Movie Night

Join us Friday, March 22, from 5:30 PM-9:30 PM for our “Bass Bugs & Brews Movie Night” featuring the International Fly Fishing Film Festival at Tupps Brewery in McKinney, Texas.

At the heart of fly fishing is fly tying—and at the heart of Texas fly fishing is the venerable bass. What better way to kick off the 2019 Texas Fly Fishing & Brew Festival than by tying bass bugs and drinking Texas microbrewed beer? Tyers and non-tyers alike are welcome to join us; tyers should bring the tying supplies of their choice along with their vise. We will tie flies from 5:30-7:30 PM.

At 7:30 PM attendees will enjoy the very first showing of this year’s IF4 movie in Texas! Attendees will also view an exclusive excerpt of the award-winning movie Back Bay. The excerpt features a personal account of Lefty Kreh’s experiences on Back Bay and is thought to be his last recorded interview. Producer Cory Routh will be on hand to answer questions about this important interview and film.

While this event is open to all members of the public, it is a ticketed event. Admission is $20 in advance and $25 at the door (if available). Bass Bugs & Brews is sponsored by International Fly Fishing Film Festival , with support from Fly Tyer and in coordination with the TFFBF and Tupps Brewery. The first 150 attendees will receive a free issue of Fly Tyer. And if all that fly tying makes you hungry, fear not: we’ve got food trucks! Attendees can participate in free raffles, too.

In memory of Lefty and his ongoing concern for veterans, a portion of all proceeds will go to benefit Project Healing Waters programs in Texas.
